1:1 Individual Therapy

  • Working in animal welfare and veterinary settings often means confronting trauma, ethical complexity, and deep compassion on a daily basis. Individual therapy offers a confidential, clinically grounded space to process the cumulative toll of this work, whether you're a veterinarian, technician, shelter staff member, student, volunteer, or client navigating loss moral stress, or other personal and work related concerns.

    With expertise in the human-animal bond, I understand the culture, language, and pressures of the field. Therapy is designed to support you in:

    • Managing compassion fatigue and burnout

    • Processing grief, moral distress, and vicarious trauma

    • Exploring identity, values, and emotional endurance

    • Setting and maintaining professional and personal boundaries

    • Navigating career transitions and role-based stress

    • Reconnecting with meaning and purpose in your work

    Sessions are trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and grounded in social justice and systems awareness. Whether you're struggling or seeking space to grow, therapy can help you build insight, develop sustainable coping tools, and feel less alone in this work.

  • All individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes

  • $150 per session

    All sessions are private/self Pay.

Organization Consulting

Mental Health First Aid

  • Certified through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based, full-day training that equips participants with the tools to recognize and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges.

    This course is especially impactful for those working in animal welfare and veterinary environments, where emotional strain is common and support systems are often stretched thin. Training is tailored to reflect the unique pressures of animal care work, helping participants feel more prepared to:

    • Identify warning signs of mental health struggles

    • Respond with empathy and appropriate boundaries

    • Connect peers, clients, or community members with the support they need

    • Cultivate a culture of awareness and compassion within your organization

    Ideal for team leads, frontline staff, volunteers and leadership.

    Participants receive a 3 year certification upon successful completion of the training.

  • This is a full day (8 hour) training.

  • $130/person (minimum of 5 participants maximum of 20)

Washington Telehealth

Care Consulting accepts clients who reside in Washington for individual therapy. All sessions are conducted through telehealth or video sessions. All video sessions, calls, texts and emails utilize HIPAA compliant technology to protect your privacy.

Organization services & Mental Health First Aid can be provided to organizations outside of Washington state.

Insurance Information

CARE Consulting does not accept insurance. Payment is due in full at the time of services provided.

Upon request a superbill can be provided to be submitted to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider directly for more information on out of network benefits.
